Aspiring entrepreneurs attending Santa Fe High School who hope to open their own local business one day and plan to attend Santa Fe Community College are encouraged to apply for this scholarship sponsored by the Alachua Business League. Since 2003, the Alachua Business League has allocated funds to provide 2-year scholarships to Santa Fe College for Santa Fe High School graduates. Scholarship students may receive enough money to attend college for 4 semesters, depending on the actual tuition cost at Santa Fe cCollege. The ABL criteria for this scholarship is to have a desire to own/run a business, and develop an idea of what it takes to make this business happen. When asked if the application process was challenging, a recent winner simply replied “…not at all, I just took the time to fill it out.”
